Awards Reception for GNPA’s 5th Annual ‘Stand in Ansel Adams Footsteps” Competition and Exhibition at The Hudgens Center for the Arts & Leaning. Thursday evening, February 20th at 7:00 pm. Public is welcome to attend, no fees.
Opportunity to meet the GNPA photographers, Mark Green our judge, the winners and others who appreciate the magnificent work and contributions Ansel Adams made to nature and landscape photography!
And, guess what? It is actually Ansel Adam’s birthday, join us for birthday cake as well as learning who the winners are.
The concept and goal of “Stand in Ansel Adams Footsteps” is to shoot in Black & White (monochrome) to emulate as close as you can the style, look and feel of his work.
Exhibit runs from February 15 until April 22. Over 140 wonderful Black & White original photographs by Georgia Nature Photography Associations amateur photographers will be on display.
Photographers compete in two Divisions. NOVICE, the less experienced and ENTHUSIAST, those with more experienced as photographers and in other competitions.
LANDSCAPE, UP CLOSE & PERSONAL and OPEN themes are the 3 Categories. The last OPEN is more creative, but still think how Ansel Adams may have executed this opportunity.
Winners from each Division and Category will be awarded for First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention as well as a BEST OF SHOW for the entire competition.
