Tybee Island – Birding, Sunset, and Full Moon Rise!
February 27 @ 3:15 pm - 7:30 pm

We’ll start at the Rock Jetty on the North Beach at Tybee Island, GA. Park in the North Beach Parking lot about 3:15pm. Meet at the Rock Jetty about 3:30pm.
We’ll begin hiking north (past the rock jetty) about 3:30pm to photograph coastal birds. Bring long telescopic lens for birding. About 4:30pm, we’ll head back to Rock Jetty.
About 5:30pm we’ll setup with a wide angle lens for the sunset at 6:20pm.
At 6:54pm there will be a full moon rise out over the ocean.
Approximate Timeline:
3:30pm-5:30pm – Birding on the north end of Tybee past the Rock Jetty.
5:30pm-6:45pm – Sunset
6:45pm – 7:30pm – Full Moon Rise
Bring both telescopic lens and wide angle. Bring sunscreen if it’s sunny. Dress for the weather. Bring water, drinks, snacks, etc. Bring flashlight.
Social Distancing: We’ll maintain 6′ while shooting most of the time. Bring a face mask to wear while gathering in groups to talk.
