The Bear Facts for Shooting Bears in Alaska

February 1 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

On February 1 at 6:30 PM, our GNPA members Jimmy Day along with Art and Mary Stiles will present information on planning a trip to Alaska to photograph grizzly bears. This presentation will take place at the Spalding County Extension Office, 835 Memorial Drive, Griffin GA. It will also be available via Zoom for those unable to attend in person.

They will talk about considerations for travel, what and how to pack in the way of clothing and equipment, possible side trips to include, and what to expect at two different locations in Alaska. They will be sharing not only tips for planning a trip, but some of their photos as well.

All three are experienced, avid nature photographers who have traveled extensively to capture images of wildlife and landscapes, and they will explain some of the unique challenges their Alaska trips have presented and how they dealt with them.
