OUR VISION
The GNPA is dedicated to helping nature photographers of all skill levels improve their photography, learn and grow, meet other outdoor photographers, participate in great trips and events, help others understand the value of the natural world and give focus to a special area of interest in photography. Our goal is to make the GNPA the best nature photography club in the Southeast, and we want you to help guide and mold it into exactly the kind of club you want.

Paynes Prairie Preserve is a 21,000 acre preserve with over 20 district biological communities providing a rich array of habitats for wildlife, including alligators, bison, wild horses, and over 270 species of birds. There is plenty to shoot.
We will explore the main entrance to the park on the south entrance on Saturday morning, have lunch in the old town of Micanopy, and explore the north side of the park in the afternoon.
Paynes Prairie boasts the largest collection of alligators is the U.S. And there are some very big ones. On Sunday morning those that wish can join us for a morning adventure into the park before heading back to Atlanta around noon.
Group rates of $89 are available at the Country Inn and suites, 4015 SW 43rd Street in Gainesville, Fl. 32608 (PH: 800-596-2375 or 352-375-1550). Be sure to tell them you are with the GNPA. The hotel located off I-75 at exit 384. It is about 350 miles from Atlanta and takes approximately 6 hours to drive.
